Admissions Arrangements

If you are considering applying for a place at either Yatton Infant or Yatton Church of England Junior School, please contact the school office.  They will be only to pleased to answer any queries that you may have and to arrange for a member of the School Leadership Team to show you around.

For Reception admissions into the Infant School and Year 3 Admissions  to the Junior School in September,  you will need apply to North Somerset Council. You can do this online to the School Admissions Team through the North Somerset Council Website.

School Admissions Team

The school has a published admission number (PAN) of 90 pupils per year group, reducing to 60 in September 2023 for Reception.  Should the school be over-subscribed with applications, allocation of places will be made in accordance with the over-subscription criteria - see LSP Admissions Arrangements documents link below.

For in-year admissions, applications should also be made to the School Admissions Team through the North Somerset Council website.  Should the school be over-subscribed, allocation of places will be made in accordance with North Somerset Council’s over-subscription criteria - see LSP Admissions Arrangements documents link below.

Details regarding dates for New Admissions

New Parents Evening for Reception 2022 : Thursday 30th June 2022.  Parents/Carers will be invited formally to this meeting once offers of school places have been made by North Somerset Council.

Reception Visits – July 2022 - Date for your child’s visit to be advised at New Parents Evening on 30th June.

Our induction programme gives parents and children the opportunity to have an individual consultation with their class teacher.  You are invited to bring your child to discuss their needs, interests and share any relevant information that may affect your child’s learning.  This will give us the chance to meet and get to know one another before school starts.
